What We Are Working On

The Peninsula Tractor Organization is an active group of members with diverse projects. By restoring a piece of equipment back to a usable condition and selling it, the organization is able to help fund some of their other projects such as the Nassawadox Sawmill and Farm Museum.

The Nassawadox Sawmill ceased operation in 1957, but still remains fairly intact with a 100 hp stationary steam engine and circular sawmill which is being restored. In addition to the sawmill, a Farm Museum is being established in the same building to preserve the rich farming history that was an important part of this area and help educate others about farming in days gone by.

Corn and soybean plots are also planted and harvested each year to provide funding for projects and materials for public demonstrations. Click on each of the photos to find out more about our projects.
